Introducing the EPP BluFO! We like this plane because of its gentle, but precise flight characteristics along with a slow flight envelope and durable EPP foam. It has plenty of room for a small FPV system in the nose and a very accessible equipment bay. Add plenty of LEDs internally and along the edges to have tons of fun cruising slowly at night. The 25″ wing span makes it very easy to travel with.
- Battery: 850 to 1300 mAh 3S lipo
- Propeller: APC 7×4 Slow fly
- Suggested starting CG should be 12.20″ back from the nose. (roughly where the hatch magnet is, but further back can be more fun)
- Motor: 2206-2307 2300-2400kv (multirotor style)
- Servos: Any 9g servo (2x)
- ESC: 20A
- Suggested starting throws: (We personally use max travel and speed on ours)
- Aileron 0.4″ up & down (0.8″ total) 30% expo
- Elevator 0.55″ up & down (1.1″ total) 20% expo
- Paint – Any spray paint is fine, but we suggest florescent marking paint which shows up well with LEDs.
- Tip – Paint your plane after you build the main wing, but before you attach the fuselage or verticals to it.
- Glue: We suggest either Welders or Foam-Tac
- LEDs: Use a ton of them! 🙂
